The exhibiton Artists’ Artists will be presetnted in two parts and includes works by
Marianne Andersson Embäck, Maurice Blaussyld, Peter Dacke, Inger Ekdahl,
Lars Embäck, Leon Ferrari, Gerd Ihrman, Adam Mc Gowan, Anna Månsdotter,
Per Mårtensson, Jan Harry Persson, Joakim Sandqvist and Rasmus Ramö Streith.

Excerpt from the exhibition text:
“In the short article ‘On Artists' Artists’, published on SFMOMA's online platform
Open Space, the American curator Renny Pritikin highlights the lack of a
signature style as a common denominator for artistries with the epithet artists' artist.
Being ahead of their time, having great artistic integrity, using skills that are difficult
for a general audience to understand and appreciate, and working with a dry, simple,
or esoteric expression, are also listed among the factors that create the conditions
for an artistis’-artistry. Although the artistries represented in Artists' Artists may have
one or more of the above-mentioned qualities, it is not primarily these that constitute
the framework of the exhibition. The title should instead be understood more literally
as the works in the exhibition are loans from six artists' private collections. ”

Thanks to Axel Burendahl, Ingela Ihrman, Charlotte Johannesson, Runo Lagomarsino,
Kristina Matousch, and Vassil Simittchiev for contributing to Artists’ Artists with
artworks and insights.
